Everybody's spending habits are different, but I'm sure some of the following areas will apply to you.
Could you cut back on alcohol consumption or cigarettes? These two items can really mount up in terms of dollars spent. And everyone knows you're much better off without them anyway. Put that money in your Power Money Bucket.
Do you really need all of those cell phones? Remember the days when you had one telephone and one bill? How many do you have now? Is it really necessary to talk while you're walking in the Mall or eating in a restaurant or driving your car or sitting on the toil...? well, you get the idea.
Could you talk for less minutes each month and purchase a cheaper plan? This one's for those of you who just can't give up any of your cell phones.
Do you really read all of those magazines? If you're like me, you probably don't get around to reading them anyway. They just wind up in the recycle bin. Cut back on some and save.
Next week we'll take a look at five more ways to generate some extra cash.
Until next time, Al Crisp, CPA
